Each book will correspond with that specific month’s theme. Example February is Black History Month so a book regarding or by an African American will be chosen. A list will be compiled and a book will be chosen out of that.
We will be reading all types of genre’s including fiction, nonfiction, autobiographies, sci-fi, classic, and poetry. If people want to read it then it’s an option on the list.

No. The idea and the name of the group is Discovering Something New, so therefore we want to make sure the books we read are broad in scope and cover all topics of interest.
That being said, the books may be influenced by the LGBTQ+ community but it doesn’t necessarily have to be about or involving the community.
2 hours. We will have time before and after the discussion to socialize and have snacks.
No. You can go to your public library and check the book our there or you can listen to the book on apps such as Audible. Keep notes on passages or quotes that interest you and bring them to the meeting and discuss.
